Nervous System Regulation:

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP),The Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), & Integrated Listening System (ILS)

True health and wellness begin with a foundation that includes a well-regulated nervous system. It can feel like you’re doing everything right, but even with the best diet, exercise, supplements, or health routines, chronic stress or unresolved emotional experiences can hold us back from lasting results.

It’s common to feel constantly on edge when rushing from one thing to the next. Managing daily pressures can make it hard to truly relax. Over time, this can leave us feeling tense, on edge, and at times disconnected from our loved ones.

The good news? Gentle, music-based listening therapies can help shift your nervous system toward safety and balance. The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), and Integrated Listening System (ILS) are guided programs that require very little “doing” on your part—yet they create meaningful, lasting changes in how you feel, connect, and recover.

The Safe and Sound Protocol

Safety & Connection

A gentle, music-based program developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, the creator of Polyvagal Theory. This music is designed to calmly stimulate the vagus nerve, helping your nervous system feel safe and settled. Many people notice that it helps them feel more grounded, less on edge, less sensitive to sounds, and more open and connected in their relationships and daily life.

SSP is used to support clients experiencing:

  • Trauma

  • Sensory challenges

  • Difficulties with social communication

  • Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties

The Rest and Restore Protocol

Restoration & Recovery

A complementary program to the SSP that involves listening to specially composed soundscapes spread over several sessions that use innovative Sonocea® sound technology to gently embed natural biological rhythms—like those of your breath and heartbeat—into the music. This helps your nervous system settle into a deeper state of calm, supporting rest, recovery, and balance in your body.

RRP is used to support clients experiencing:

  • Chronic stress and fatigue

  • Sleep challenges

  • GI and gut-related issues

  • Emotional imbalance and anxiety

Integrated Listening System™

Organization and Skill Building

Integrated Listening System is a multisensory listening therapy that improves brain-body organization and functional skill building. By combining auditory input with movement-based activities, it harnesses the power of neuroplasticity to strengthen coordination, focus, and learning.

ILS is used to support clients working on:

  • Improving attention and executive functioning

  • Motor planning and coordination

  • Sensory processing and integration

  • Learning and performance

  • Neurological injury or illness (brain injury, stroke, or memory loss)

Many people find that RRP promotes profound relaxation, better sleep, reduced stress, and an overall sense of restoration. It's a wonderful complement to the SSP, helping you feel more restored and resilient in daily life. These protocols work together beautifully to nurture both connection and deep rest, creating a stronger foundation for your overall health and well-being.

ILS can be used alongside these programs for improvement in memory, attention, and concentration, to optimize outcomes.
